About

KCRC: Strong Enough to Disagree. Wise Enough to Govern.

The Knox County Republican Coalition (KCRC) exists to strengthen the Republican Party in Knox County by bringing together Republicans of good faith who may not agree on every issue but share a commitment to conservative principles, effective governance, and respect for one another.

We believe political parties are strongest when they are broad enough to welcome different viewpoints and disciplined enough to work toward common goals. Republicans have always been a coalition of conservatives, libertarians, business leaders, faith communities, veterans, taxpayers, reformers, and citizens who care deeply about the future of their communities.

Reasonable people can disagree.

In fact, disagreement is often a sign that people are thinking seriously about difficult problems. The challenge is not eliminating disagreement. The challenge is learning how to govern despite it.

The Knox County Republican Coalition seeks to encourage thoughtful discussion, promote civic engagement, support Republican candidates who can effectively lead, and foster a culture of mutual respect within our party. We reject the idea that each disagreement makes someone an enemy. Political movements succeed when they persuade, organize, and build majorities—not when they divide themselves into smaller and smaller factions.

Our focus is local. We care about the future of Knox County, the effectiveness of local government, the quality of our schools, public safety, economic opportunity, responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and the preservation of the freedoms and institutions that allow our communities to thrive.

We believe that strong parties build strong leaders, strong leaders build strong communities, and strong communities build a stronger nation.

The Knox County Republican Coalition is committed to advancing Republican ideas while remembering an important truth:

Factions win battles. Coalitions govern.
